We founded our company out of a shared frustration with the challenges faced by ourselves, our partners, and our customers. From unexpectedly high electricity bills to irregular billing and a plethora of mysterious charges, we recognized a common thread of dissatisfaction. Conversations with those around us only confirmed that our struggles were far from unique. Upon delving deeper, we uncovered a startling truth: nearly one in five Americans find themselves in electricity debt due to the soaring costs of utilities, affecting almost 20 million households with little to no assistance from their state utilities.
​Our founders were adamant that no household should suffer financial strain or go without a basic necessity like electricity due to unaffordability. This conviction led to the founding of Predict-a-Bill a product of our non-profit company The Spark Institute of Research and Innovation. We embarked on this journey as our own first clients, determined to alleviate the anxieties surrounding utility bills. At Spark Institute, our mission is clear: to extend a helping hand to those burdened by uncertainty about their next bill.
